Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Portuit online store ("Store"). By placing an order or using the Store, you agree to these Terms.

1. Territory

Portuit sells and ships exclusively to customers outside of Japan. Orders with shipping addresses within Japan will not be accepted.

2. Products

Portuit curates and sells Japanese subculture goods sourced from authorized Japanese distributors on an on-demand basis. Product availability is subject to supplier stock; Portuit reserves the right to cancel and refund orders that cannot be fulfilled.

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are displayed in the currency selected at checkout. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. By placing an order, you authorize Portuit to charge the payment method provided for the full order amount, including any applicable shipping costs.

4. Order Acceptance

Your order constitutes an offer to purchase. Portuit reserves the right to accept or decline any order at its discretion. Order acceptance is confirmed when procurement is initiated with our supply partners. Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement, as described in our Return & Refund Policy.

5. Shipping

Shipping terms are governed by our Shipping Policy. Customs duties, import taxes, and other destination-country fees are the responsibility of the recipient.

6. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy. Returns are accepted only in cases of damage, defect, or wrong item shipped, subject to the terms set out in that policy.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Store — including text, images, and the Portuit brand — is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Product images and information sourced from Japanese distributors and publishers remain the property of their respective owners and are used for the purpose of identifying and describing items available for purchase.

8. User Conduct

You agree to use the Store only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Store in a manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our services, or interfere with any other party's use of the Store.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Portuit's total liability in connection with any order is limited to the purchase price paid for the item giving rise to the claim. Portuit is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or use of the Store shall be resolved in the courts of Japan.

11. Changes to These Terms

Portuit may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your order applies to that order. Continued use of the Store after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
